After walking through the front door, the warm and intimate lighting soothed the eyes and relaxed the brain. Overhead, dimly lit lantern-style lights radiated a gentle, golden glow throughout the space. One wall of the room was a grand stone fireplace adorned with a rustic wooden mantel on which rested a model of the ship VALLEY FORGE. Many local men had served on the ship in the second World War. Within the fireplace, was a cheery fire, the split wood crackling and popping from time to time. The scent of spices and burning wood from the fireplace filled the air, adding to the cozy cabin atmosphere.
